Ilayathalapathy Vijay has been organizing various welfare schemes in different parts of the state and was in Dharmapuri recently to participate in such an event in memory of his late sister Vidhya. While talking at the event, he said, “When I lost my sister, I felt very lonely. But after I entered films, I see numerous sisters in my fans who are so affectionate with me. I get around 500 fan mail everyday in which 300 are from women and out of this, 250 address me as their brother”.
Captain Vijayakanth used to organize free marriages for poor couples through his fan clubs every year. Now Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay has started

doing the same. He has been sponsoring such events for the past few years. He organizes such marriages as charity act through his fan clubs. Vijay has also decided to build marriage halls in each district. The halls will also function as district headquarters of his fan clubs.
He has also decided to design a flag for his fan club. A group of his close friends is working on designing the flag. For fans who immediately concluded that this was Vijay’s first move towards politics, the actor was quick to add that he never intends to indulge in politics but as a socially-responsible citizen, wishes to use his fan clubs to do good for the society. He urged the youngsters to work towards Abdul Kalam’s 2020
dream and help make India a Super Power.
Vijayakanth, who has been organizing such marriages, has now entered politics. Will Vijay follow suit? Is the flag idea, just another indication on his interest in politics?
