
Shreya Reddy, former SS music VJ and actor, is engaged to Vishal’s elder brother and producer G.K. Reddy’s son Vikram Krishna, today in Chennai. Shreya made her debut in Vishal’s home production Thimiru in a character with negative undertones and won wide critical acclaim for her portrayal of a rustic village girl. She also acted in an offbeat role in Veyil and is starred in the recent Thangar Pachan venture Pallikoodam. Vikram Krishna’s brief acting stint included movies like Pooparikka Varugirom and Love marriage before he ventured into producing movies inheriting the trade from his father. The love affair has been mutually agreed upon by Shreya and Vikram’s parents and the couple’s engagement is

held in Shreya Reddy’s Poes Garden residence this evening. The engagement was kept as a private affair and only close relatives were invited. Vikram produces the Vishal - Nayantara starrer Sathyam. Shreya has been turning down the film offers her way in recent days signaling her bidding adieu from movies. She came into prominence with her films Appudappudu, Amma Cheppindi and Pogaru. The auspicious event will be held on March 8th. The brilliant actress believes that marriage is not an obstacle to her profession. Several heroines didn’t give up their profession after marriage. Shreya too seems to be treading the path of her seniors like Ramya Krishnan, Malavika, and Jyothirmayee. Currently, Vikram Krishna is producing the first bilingual film of Vishal in Telugu (Salute) and Tamil (Satyam), which he is planning to release with 750 prints in May.
