Versatile actor Vikram will be trying his hand at singing with his latest film Kanthaswamy. Music director Devi Sri Prasad has persuaded Vikram to lend his voice for one of his compositions for this film. The film Kandasamy is simultaneously being shot in Tamil and Telugu. With actress Shreya acting opposite Vikram, the movie has been titled Mallanna in Telugu. Vikram is apparently playing a kleptomaniac in the film, due to which he undergoes some problems. Veterans Thotta Tharani, A. S. Laxmi Narayanan and Vairamuthu, winners of nine National Film Awards between them, take care of the art direction, audiography and lyrics respectively.

Kanthaswamy, the Vikram-Shriya starrer, has created enough hype during it launch a few months ago. News about this film always finds its way to the media more so because of the big names involved in it. The latest buzz that has everyone surprised is that Vikram has rendered his voice for the song “Excuse Me Mr. Kanthaswamy.” He sings this duet along with Suchitra.



Quite naturally, the song will be picturised on the lead pair, and sources reveal that the crew intends to shoot it in Mexico. A choreographer from Mumbai has been signed up for this song. It is worth mentioning here that during the launch of Kanthswamy, this song was played in the background. However, director Susi Ganesan and music director Devi Sri Prasad have now decided to rework on the song to make it zippier.
