Nowadays kollywood has become a preschool for TamilNadu politicians. An easy way to get into tamilnadu politics is to become a star in Kollywood. Where else you will get a prefect launch for a big run. It was first, our superstar Rajinikanth, who gave a symbol and flag for Narpani Mandrams. But he was not smart enough to convert them into some Kazhagam or Kathci or Party office. It was rightly did by our Captain VijayaKanth and followed by SarathKumar. Following the big heads is the Kollywood IlayaThalapathy Vijay. Vijay launched a Flag for all his Fans run Narpani Mandrams with lots of celebrities but only least number of fans were invited due to lesser space.
Illayathapathi Vijay celebrated his birthday at the Centenary Hall in the University of Madras campus among much fanfare. It was not the usual cake-cutting ceremony but the release of a flag for his Narpani Mandrams. With this flag release the star become the fourth actor to have a flag. However, the three others – Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth and Sarath Kumar - are in a different league altogether.

The flag, which has a white background and a blue circle in the middle with the actors face imprinted on it, has the words “Uzhaithidu, Unnal Mudiyum, Uyarndhidu.” Vijay, however, claims that the flag is to motivate his fans and he has no desire to enter in to politics.

He said that he believed said that one can also do good to the society by remaining an ordinary citizen. The event was well-attended and some of the noted celebrities present were Nayanthara, Sathyaraj, director Dharani, Prabhu Deva, and producers R.B. Choudhury, A.M. Rathnam, Kalaipuli S. Dhanu and Karunamoorthy etc.
