Just few days to go for Diwali 2008.

Grapevine from Kollywood is abuzz that actress Shriya Saran will lock lips with Kamal Haasan in the latter’s upcoming film Marmayogi. The presence of Trisha has already been confirmed in the movie and Shriya has been approached for a brief role. Kamal reportedly offered Shriya the part when she came to Mumbai to celebrate her birthday last month.Reports say the movie will have Shriya playing a brief role as Kamal’s wife who gets killed in an unfortunate way…. While Kamal has previously done a kissing scene on screen with Rani Mukherjee (in Hey Ram), this would be Shriya’s first lip lock before the camera. Shriya admits that Kamal has approached her, but she adds that she hasn’t yet gone through the script to confirm such a kissing scene in ‘Marmayogi’, which Kamal would direct himself.

This film, which is the debut directorial venture for choreographer and actor Raju Sundaram, has generated enough hype already. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for this Ajith-Nayantara starrer. This is the third Ajith starrer that this talented music director is composing music for. He had earlier composed the music of Dheena and Billa. All the songs of Aegan are good and some of them have the popular hip-hop touch.

Seval movie has Bharath and Poonam Bajwa in the lead roles and is produced by M.A. Jinnah for Jinnah Creations…. Hari is gearing up to wake the dawn on Diwali as it is slated to be released on the festive occasion.Forget Simran’s categorical statement that she would not act in any roles other than heroine roles. Following a supportive role in Gautham Menon’s ‘Varanam Aayiram’, she is donning another supportive role in Hari’s ‘Seval’, featuring Bharath and Poonam Bhajwa in the lead roles.Though it is a supportive role, it is said to be a very strong role that could make more impact than that of heroine’s role. Insiders say that it would be similar to the role of Nadiya in Hari’s ‘Thamirabharani’.Hari actually approached Simran with a lot of hesitation, as she had recently declared that she would take up only the lead roles…. So, the erstwhile Kollywood queen Simran has finally made a comeback, albeit in a different form.
