An exciting news for the fans of superstar Rajinikanth. They can see Rajini in action in all screens that show the Pongal release movies.
The trailer of ‘Sultan the Warrior’, an animated movie being made by Rajini’s daughter Soundarya, produced by Adlabs in association with Ocher Studios, will be screened from Pongal. The official sources reveal that the trailer would runs for 1 minute and 43 seconds.
The trailer is sure to excite the audiences, as it is the first ever experiment to show the action hero with incredible charisma in an animated form. The film with the music of A R Rahman is expected to be released by the end of 2008.

Actor Pandian, who made his debut along with Revathi in Bharathiraja’s ‘Mann Vasanai’, passed away this morning in Madurai.
The actor, who gave many hits in eighties, was suffering from jaundice for quite some time. Treatment was given to him in various hospitals in various places including Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai. He was finally admitted in a hospital in Madurai, as his condition got worsened.

Ayngaran, the co producer of the movie, has quoted Rajinikanth in its official press release saying that, “I am immensely happy to be working with Ayngaran – Eros International for ‘Robot’.  This film by Shankar is one of its kinds to be made on Indian screen. No one has done it before.”
Shankar, director of the movie, is quite excited about his dream project. “It’s very exciting to be working again with talents like Rajinikanth and A.R. Rahman. Combined with production & distribution muscle of Ayngaran – Eros International, ‘Robot’ has the potential of becoming this year’s biggest film.”

7 Jan 2008There has been a buzz for the past couple of weeks about Superstar Rajini acting in Shankar’s Robot. This has become official now with Ayngaran International CEO Rohan Manickavasagar confirming the news. Says Rohan Manickavasagar “Ayngaran and Eros Multimedia will be jointly producing Robot featuring Rajinikanth and directed by Shankar. The formal agreements will be signed soon,”.
As far as ‘Robot’ is concerned, it is like a roller coaster ride for the movie, as Shankar has been contemplating with many names for his dream project. First it was said that Kamal Haasan would act in it. Then Vikram‚Äôs name surfaced. Post ‚ÄòSivaji‚Äô, we heard that Hrithik Roshan would be the dream hero. Then came the name of Aamir Khan. Finally Shankar made an official announcement that it would be Shahrukh Khan, who would don the role in his most intimate project.
If Shivaji was shot on a 80 Crore budget, the movie Robot will be produced on a 100 crore budget by Ayngaran International and Eros Multimedia. The sucess team of Shivaji which includes Shankar, Rajini and A.R. Rahman are all set to repeat their magic again in Robot. The rest of the crew needs to be still decided. This is going to be a never seen before Sci-Fi thriller for the Tamil audience.
