Vel is a forthcoming Tamil movie by director Hari. Surya and Asin are playing lead roles in this movie. Surya is playing a double role for the second time after Perazhagan. Surya’s latest movie in the pipeline is the star studded ‘Vel’. Director Hari has gone ahead to sign up Yuvan Shankar Raja for composing the music. Together trio Surya, Hari and Yuvan has aimed to come up with some nice tracks for this village-grown flick. Asin appears as a dainty darling in an extremely new fashion. No matter what rampant rumors have been tossed around, we always knew there was going to be one main attraction to WWDC 2007: a feature-complete version of Leopard. Steve Jobs and co. didn’t disappoint, announcing 10 of the “300 new features of the OS.”
1. New Desktop - First off is the new desktop, featuring a new menu bar, a snazzed up dock and “Stacks” to help you keep your desktop clean. For instance, there’s a default Stack that collects all your downloads in one place on the dock.
2. New Finder - More on the aesthetics side, Apple is going with a unified look for apps, which nixes the brushed metal style and instead mimics the current iTunes theme — surprise, surprise. In fact, the new Finder looks and performs almost exactly like iTunes, all the way down to integrated Cover Flow for shuffling through your files. You can also save smart searches in the “playlists” side of the interface. On the back end of things, Leopard includes “Back to my Mac,” which keeps track of your home Mac’s IP address through various (and secure!) magicks, letting you browse your files remotely as if they were on a local network. Spotlight search also works over networks now, as expected.
3. Quick Look - Another new Finder integrated function, Quick Look lets you open up previews of most common document types without opening the respective app, and unsupported doc types can be added through extensions.

Ajith starrer Billa is not in the race of big movies releasing this Diwali. Billa-2007 has completed its shooting schedule. Pyramid Saimira owns the Indian theatrical rights of Billa and reports are that they are considering November 30 as the release of the film.
The entire shoot of the movie is over, and cameraman Niraj Shah and Vishnu are sitting together, trying to work out the special effects for the film which has also a lot of graphic work. The action scenes in the film have been choreographed by William Ang, Jackie Chan’s stuntman. The audio of Billa by Yuvan Shankar Raja is ready, and will be launched into the market after Diwali.
The pre-release buzz of the film is positive. Those who have seen the rushes vow that Thalai Ajith’s smashing and stylish look is admirable. Nayanthara and Namitha adds to the glamour quotient of the flick.

The movie, a remake of yesteryear Rajnikanth hit, was initially slated for release on Deepavali day. However for reasons unknown its release for postponed.
Speaking about the film, its producer Anandha Suresh, said, “We have completed the shooting. The background and re-recording works have commenced. It is being carried out in Mumbaiâ€.
Dwelling further, Anandha Suresh said, “We would be releasing the movie with 250 prints worldwide. For the first time, we are planning to release the movie in abroad with English sub-titles. The audio of ‘Billa’ would be released on 15 November followed by the movie on 30 Novemberâ€.
The movie stars Ajith, Nayantara, Namitha, Prabhu, and Rahman among others in the cast. Music is by Yuvanshankar Raja and the movie is directed by Vishnuvardhan.
Interestingly, noted stunt choreographer William Yong, who worked in several Jackie Chan movies, had worked in ‘Billa’.

With just a couple of weeks left for Deepavali, a total of eight films are confirmed for release on the festive day. Here are list of latest kollywood sexy films for Diwali. They include Vijay starrer ‘Azhagiya Tamil Magan’, Suriya’s ‘Vel’, Madhavan’s ‘Evano Oruvan’, ‘Polladhavan’ starring Dhanush, Sathyaraj – Radhika in ‘Kannamoochi Yaenada’, Jeevan’s ‘Machaakkaran’, all new starrers ‘Palaniappa Kallori’ and ‘Agra’.
Vijay’s ‘Azhagiya Tamil Magan’ features the actor in dual role with Shriya and Namitha playing the heroines. Music is by A R Rahman. Directed by Bharathan, the movie is produced by Appachan.
‘Vel’
‘Vel’ stars Suriya and Asin in lead roles. The movie directed by Hari and produced by Mohan Natarajan features Suriya in double role.
Yuvanshankar Raja has scored the music.
‘Evano Oruvan’
Madhavan’s maiden production venture ‘Evano Oruvan’, a remake of Marathi film ‘Dombivili Fast’, was initially slated for a release on December.
However, with Pyramid Saimira obtaining the distribution rights, ‘Evano Oruvan’ will reportedly have an early release and see the light of the day on Deepavali day. Sangeetha plays the heroine and G V Prakash Kumar scores the music.
‘Polladhavan’
‘Polladhavan’ stars Dhanush and Dhivya in the lead roles. Directed by Vettrimaran, the movie is about a youth, who takes a few challenges in his life to fulfill his father’s dreams.
The movie has music by G V Prakash and the remix of yesteryear popular song “Engeyum Eppodhum” is topping the audio charts now.
‘Kannamoochi Yaenada’
Director V Priya’s ‘Kannamoochi Yaenada’ starring Sathyaraj, Radhika, Prithviraj and Sandhya will be released for this Deepavali. The movie has musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja.
An emotional entertainer, the movie features yesteryear heroine Sri Priya in a cameo.
‘Machaakkaran’
‘Machaakkaran’ starring Jeevan and Kamna Jethmalani is directed by Thamizh Vannan. The movie has musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja.
The director promises an engrossing entertainer and the film has songs shot in Switzerland.
A couple of small and medium-budget movies including ‘Pazhaniappa Kallori’ and ‘Agra’ are also slated for release this festive occasion.
