Director Selvaraghavan has titled his directorial venture starring Paruthiveeran fame Karthi and Reema Sen as Ayirathil Oruvan. Interestingly, Ayirathil Oruvan was a yesteryear blockbuster featuring MGR, Jayalalithaa in the lead roles. The movie brought laurels to MGR and also helped him stabilize his political career. The new Ayirathil Oruvan will go to floors this August. A racy thriller, Ayirathil Oruvan would have musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja.Selva Raghavan, one director who does not compromise with the budget when his creativity suggests something more.Recently in Ramoji Film city a huge set was being built up with a whooping budget of 5 crores and it is said that the set will be ready by Sunday this week.

Finally Dasavatharam has won the legal battle since Madras High Court on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking a direction to film certification authorities to change the title of the Kamal Hassan starrer ‘Dasavatharam’ and delete some scenes, paving the way for the movie’s release. The petitioner, International Sri Vaishnava Dharma Samrakshanaa Society (SVDSS) represented by its President Swamy Govinda Ramanuja Dasan, had contended that the movie had scenes that offended Hindu sentiments, particularly that of Vaishnavites.

In a bid to reduce primary school dropout rate and eradicate child labour in the state, the Tamil Nadu Government, an NGO and four Tamil film stars have joined hands to send across a message to the society on the evils.In the five-minute documentary, titled “Herova Zerova” (are you a Hero or Zero), actor couple Surya-Jothika, and top stars Vijay and Madhavan are seen speaking against child labour and stressing the need for the young hands to hold pens and pencils rather than the spanner and chisel.

A complaint to the Commissioner of Police Nanjil Kumaran that Asin kidnapped her maid servant for sale in Mumbai red light areas rocked the film industry yesterday. The complainant, mother of the maid servant, made several allegations in the complaint. She stated that her daughter, employed at Asin’s home used to visit her every month and likewise she would also meet the daughter every week at Asin’s home. “But I did not get to meet my daughter for the past six months,” the mother alleged.

Ajith after the film Billa joins team for Aegan with Choreographer, actor cum the debutant director Raju Sundaram. Aegan already created a huge impact among the fans and it had shot the films at different locations. The film shot its stunt scenes at HongKong and fewer shots at Yercaud and Visakapatanam. The duet scenes of the film with Ajith and Nayanthara were shot at Thekkady and more than that there were rumors that the crew has planned to shoot another song sequence with the pair at Kazakhstan. The film being going in a good pace, soon we can expect a great treat to Ajith fans and viewers.
